Die mehrfach preisgekrönte philippinisch-amerikanische Funk-, Soul- und Jazzsängerin Madz Johnson geht erstmals mit hochkarätiger Band auf Europa Tournee. Im September 2025 macht sie bei uns im Hot Jazz Club Halt. Begleitet wird sie von ihrer 2023 gegründeten Jazzkombo, bestehend aus engagierten Jazzern aus unterschiedlichen Teilen der USA. Als lokalen Gastmusiker bringt sie den Jazz Trompeter Matthias Beckmann aus Münster mit.
Wenn die Band loslegt, klingt das ein bisschen, als würden Tower of Power mit Michael Jackson zusammen eine Jazz Session hosten. Immer dabei ist eine ordentliche Portion Funk & Soul.
